Gorilla Chop - All levels

General description

A shore dive in the north of Motobu area, easy and friendly to all levels of certification. The maximum depth of this dive site is 12m on a beautiful sand bottom that hides loads of small creatures such as shrimps, crabs and nudibranchs. But also the coral reef is a mix of soft and hard coral making this site absolutely interesting by the variety of marine life we can find. Best time of the for this site is winter as we can find much more small animals making it perfect site for macro photography.

Diving operation

We meet on site around 9am and start to prepare for diving. There are changing room, toilets and coin showers available. We usually plan for 2 dives and finish around 1:30pm but you can request a third dive. The dive time depend on your air consumption but it could be up to 60 minutes each dive including safety stop.

What to bring

For a full day dive we recommend to bring water, snacks, a towel, sunglasses and sunscreen (prefer the ones reef-safe). Also bring some change as it will not be allowed to sit on car with wetsuits or wet clothes. There will always be a cooler box available for your food and drinks.
